Fit

Fills the space around images that don't match the shape.

Format

Output: 1320 × 2868 px, no transparency. Required for iPhone apps, unless you give 6.5" screenshots instead.

Screenshots

What you get

  • Every required device

iPhone 6.9", 6.5" and more, iPad 13", and Google Play phone and tablet sizes.

  • No alpha channel

PNGs are saved without transparency, which App Store Connect requires.

  • Private by design

Images are processed on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

The guide

Which size should I make?

For the App Store, iPhone 6.9" screenshots are the main set, and Apple scales them down for smaller iPhones. Add iPad 13" screenshots if your app runs on iPad. For Google Play, a 9:16 phone screenshot at 1080 × 1920 is a safe default; tablets are optional unless you want your app featured for them. Every size is in the screenshot size guide.

Before you upload

  • Use the same size for every screenshot in a set.
  • Show the app as it really is. Both stores reject screenshots that misrepresent the app.
  • Put your strongest screen first. It's often the only one people see in search results.

Questions

Short answers about the screenshot resizer and the store rules behind it.

Why does App Store Connect reject my screenshots?

Usually because the size isn't one Apple accepts for that display, or because the PNG has an alpha channel. This tool exports the exact pixel size you pick and always removes transparency.

Should I fit or crop?

Fit keeps the whole screenshot and fills the leftover space with a colour you pick, which is safest for real device captures. Fill and crop covers the whole frame and trims the edges, which suits designed screenshots with a background.

Are my screenshots uploaded?

No. Your browser resizes them and saves the files straight to your device. Nothing is sent to a server, so unreleased screens stay private.
