Sponsored Placement Terms

What you buy

A sponsored spot shows your app, labeled “Sponsored”, above the organic results at the top of the home page, a category page or matching search results. It is visibility on TrueLaunch only. It does not change your ratings, reviews, organic rank or anything on Google Play or the App Store, and it does not guarantee views, downloads, reviews or store ratings.

Who can bid

Your account must have a confirmed email and be at least 14 days old. The app must be live on TrueLaunch, you must have verified that you own it, and it must have no open reports for spam, fake reviews, rating exchanges, malware or copyright. Admin accounts can't bid.

How bidding works

• Bids are daily amounts in US dollars, for one app in one placement. You can place, raise, lower, pause or end a bid at any time.
• The highest bid is shown first. Equal bids are ordered by who reached that amount first. Bids beyond the available spots wait in a queue and move up automatically.
• To pass another bid you must beat it by the minimum increment shown on the Promote page. Each placement has a minimum daily bid.
• A bid you raise can't be lowered for one hour, and a bid can be changed at most once a minute and 60 times a day.
• The order can change at any moment as developers change their bids. The Promote page shows the live standings and the price to beat for each spot.
• Standings are public. The Sponsored spots page shows everyone which app holds each spot, what it pays per day and the price to take it, and which apps are waiting, in order. The maximum bid of an app that is waiting is never shown, and nothing about your balance or account is.

What you pay

• You pay only while your app is shown, per second, at the bid just below yours plus the increment (or the minimum bid if nobody is below), never more than your own daily bid.
• Spend is taken from your prepaid ad balance as it happens. If the balance can't cover the next hour, your bids pause automatically and the next bidders move up.
• Your balance never goes below zero.

Ad balance, payments and refunds

You top up the balance in US dollars through our payment partner Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, sales tax and receipts. The balance can only be spent on sponsored spots; it is not a review credit and can't be used for anything else. You can ask for unused balance to be refunded by contacting us; refunded amounts are taken off the balance.

Removal

If a moderator hides your app for breaking the guidelines, its bids are removed straight away. Your unspent balance stays yours. If another person proves they own an app you listed, the listing moves to them and your bids for it end.
