Store rules at a glance

App Store

  • Up to 10 screenshots per display size.
  • JPEG or PNG, RGB, without transparency.
  • Every screenshot in a set must be the same size.

Google Play

  • 2 to 8 screenshots per device type.
  • JPEG or 24-bit PNG (no transparency), up to 8 MB each.
  • Each side between 320 and 3,840 px, and the long side no more than twice the short side.

What screenshot size does the App Store need?

For iPhone apps, 6.9" screenshots: 1320 × 2868, 1290 × 2796 or 1260 × 2736 px in portrait. If you don't have those, 6.5" screenshots (1284 × 2778 or 1242 × 2688) are accepted instead. iPad apps also need 13" screenshots, such as 2064 × 2752.

What screenshot size does Google Play need?

Google Play doesn't require one exact size. Each side must be between 320 and 3,840 px and the long side no more than twice the short side. 1080 × 1920 (9:16) is a common, safe choice for phones.

How many screenshots can I upload?

Up to 10 per display size on the App Store. Google Play needs at least 2 and takes up to 8 per device type.

What size is the Google Play feature graphic?

Exactly 1024 × 500 px, as a JPEG or a 24-bit PNG without transparency. Every listing needs one.
