How the rank checker works
Each check runs a fresh search on the store you pick, in the country you pick, without an account or search history, then finds your app in the results. Paste your store link for the most reliable match; a package name, App Store ID or the exact app name works too.
- Google Play: the first 30 results, exactly as the search page shows them.
- App Store: the first results exactly as shown, then up to 200 from Apple's public search, marked with ≈.
- Results are cached for a short time, so checking the same keyword twice in a few minutes gives the same answer.
Turning a rank into a plan
Most installs from search go to the first few results, so moving from #15 to #5 matters more than from #50 to #30.
- Ranked 11–30: the keyword fits your app. Put it in your title, subtitle or short description to push into the top 10.
- Not in the results: start with longer, more specific phrases from the keyword suggestion tool.
- Check how crowded a phrase is with the keyword difficulty checker before you rewrite your listing.
